James, is a motivational trainer & speaker who has inspired thousands of people of all ages around the country through cooperate leadership and team building events, middle & high school assemblies, youth conferences, chapels, camps, and youth ministry events.
As a former junior college basketball James had the great honor of coaching along side one of the NJCAA Basketball Greats, Hall of Fame Coach Francis Flax. Together they made three consecutive NJCAA DII National Tournament appearances in the late 90's were they finished 4th two years in a row, then in 1999 won Brown Mackie's first ever NJCAA Division II National Title.
James has also been fortunate enough to have also been mentored by one of The 50 Most Inspirational Figures in NBA History, former NBA player, Harlem Globetrotter and current motivational speaker Melvin 'MC' Adams.
Due to a drug addicted mother while growing up in Brooklyn, James spent his early childhood in the New York City foster care system where he experienced physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of his providers.
In high School James met a teacher who saved his life and encouraged him through some difficult times. Even with the amazing support of this teacher James still had to overcome his own inner demons of drugs and alcohol in his adult life, and that he did!
James now travels around the country sharing his story and inspiring others to never give up on their dreams and to Dare To Be Great, And Dare To Dream Big.
