James Trower is a motivational speaker and trainer who has inspired thousands of people of all ages around the country.
As a former Junior College Basketball coach James had the honor of coaching alongside NJCAA Hall of Fame Coach Francis Flax. Together they recruited second chance inner-city kids from around the country and made three consecutive NJCAA DII National Tournament appearances in the late ’90s with Brown Mackie JC of Salina Kansas. In 1999 James, Francis and former UT standout Darren Kelly led The Brown Mackie Lions to the schools first ever national title.
While growing up on the streets of Brooklyn and being a resident of the New York City Foster Care system, James had zero role models to guide him in the right direction, or to comfort him in his darkest hours. It’s wasn’t until James reached High school where he met a public school teacher who saved his life, gave him hope, and planted a seed of greatness in his mind.
James now travels around the country paying it forward by sharing his story and inspiring other to never give up and to dare to be great, and to dare to dream big.
