<img src="http://jamestrower.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/article-new-ehow-images-a06-si-fr-neuro-linguistic-programming-exercises-800x800.jpg" alt=" width="295" height="300" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-507" />

Can you name any past or present TV “Programing” that builds in you a limiting belief, lets say like around money and wealth?

For example, the Classic Christmas Tale “The Scrooge” programed us to believe that rich people are greedy, mean and only care about themselves. The TV program “Good Times” programed us to believe that money is hard to acquire, that life is a struggle and that its “DYNAMITE” to be poor. The T.V program “The Jeffersons” programed us to believe that when someone goes from rags to riches, they become greedy, self-centered, arrogant, and judgmental. The TV program “The Cosby Show” even though its intent was to show the goings-on in the life of a successful African American family in truth its programing destroys our sence self-wealth it programs us to believe that in order for a African American family to have a life of success they must have both parents in the house who are highly educated professionals like doctors and lawyers. This type of programing actually has an apposite affect of its intent, and claims its unexpected viewers by the millions. For those who do not see in their current situation the possibilities of that type of life the, programing confirms and instills in them the what is not possible.

And I can go on and on these are just a few of many programs from the past, that control our current thoughts, feeling and actions. I am sure if you took an honest assent of what your watching you’ll easily find the hidden messages that create limiting beliefs on a subconscious. The present day TV and news programming does even far more damage then their preprocessor’s,creating an unconscious belief system that we are limited and in some cases unworthy.

The writers of the programing except maybe for the News and commercials may not be deliberily programing us, but never the less they are. What we are witnessing are these writers own limiting beliefs, being reflected on screen. The News programing and commercial programing, know exactly what they are doing. They have stepped up their campaign to free you of your money and keep you in such fear you have no time to think about how they are controlling your decisions and creating in you a false sense of accomplishment and security.

I know this will be hard for the majority to except because it would mean that they would have to believe that their favorite shows ,news cast, and environment are controlling their lives and they are not willing to except that. It’s much easier to relinquish control, get lost in it all and allow someone or something else take control so you can have someone or something to blame when your life doesn’t turn our like you’d like.

I recall when I first started college I wanted to become a computer programer and after taking a few programing classes I decided that I didn’t want to become a programmer after all.Programing is time consuming, challenging and tedious it requires a great deal of you attention, and focus. So I took an easier rout. Now here I am again facing programing or better yet De-programing that is challenging, time consuming, and tedious. The only difference is, this time I am better equipped and up for the task because I’ve adopted for myself the principle of A Life Time of Learning and open mindedness.

Weather you believe this, or understand it or not, it does not matter. The fact is we are being programed everyday by of our lives by the TV, News, family, friends, teachers, culture, society, politics, and religion. Decide to take on the time consuming, challenging and tedious job of doing your own programing.

“I am The Greatest”. The famous phrase of The Greatest Heavy-Weight Champion of all times, Muhammad Ali. What most people may not realize is that this was Ali’s SELF-TALK, his MANTRA if you will.

I sure that when Ali first started speaking this to himself, it was to the mirror. Then not long after, to the World. Ali dreamt, felt, and spoke his way to becoming, “THE GREATEST”.

Ali made a commitment, and in his mind, had already begun to see himself, as “The Heavy-Weight Champ Of The World” with that vision and the repetition of one of The Greatest Self-Talk, phrases of all time, Ali took inspired action and accomplishment what many said was impossible, then had no choice but to marvel at its Greatness.

You too can achieve this same Greatness, and even more, much more if that is what you CHOOSE. You were destined to, its encoded in your DNA, as it is, in Everyone.

The fact is though, that 98% of the worlds population either don’t believe this, don’t care, or are so caught up with their day to day physical experience, that the idea eludes them. And worse yet, they have come to define themselves as their experiences. In doing so, they defined themselves as limited because everything in the physical has limitations. And unfortunately this limited mindset will prevent them from believing that anything is possible because it’s in contradiction their conditioned up bringing.

While everyone else is rundown, exhausted, and burned out from the battle, the Champions are just Self-starters.

What you say to your-Self, when you talk to your-Self, defines who you are, and if YOU, are not talking to your-Self, then someone else is talking to YOU and defining who You are. I love this quote I from Joe Vitale. “You are the Michael Angelo of your own life, and the David you are sculpting is YOU!. How powerful is that! take the helm, your life will be what you say it will be! Your Life is putty in your hands, sculpt something BEAUTIFUL.

Reminder. When You, or someone who defines You, projects venomous Words in your direction, then says, “I was just playing”. Understand that Your-Self, does not understand the word playing, because it does not play, it gives back to you exactly what it is given both positive and negative. This is the cause of all experiences.

It is not that a Champion does not experience fatigue; but their Desire to achieve there dreams and aspirations, keeps them going strong and their fire burning long.

Make a commitment to your Success TODAY and begin to Think, Act, Speak, and FEEL, as if what you want, already IS! Don’t waste any time thinking about what you don’t want or have. (“What you resist persist”.) Instead, focus all your Energy and Attention on what it is you do want to experience. Make that your goal, your mantra. Commit to it and watch how your life unfolds.

Here is a typical story. Mike, an unskilled Network Marketer just got started with his new Network Marketing business and he wants to tell everyone in the world about it. So what does Mike do? He signs up for every message board, email group, social media site and business networking websites he can find and begins his assault, upon his unexpected victims, determined to get the word out about his business opportunity and products. I am sure many of you have read this story before and maybe even lived it. I know I did.

What Mike and many others fail to understand is that even though we are online, we are still dealing with REAL PEOPLE. The Internet can be deceiving in this way because it can lead you to believe that its some anonymous place where you might feel people won’t really notice you if you engage in any unscrupulous and unprofessional behavior. Well the truth of the matter is, they do. And not only is this sort of behavior a turn off but it also shows signs of desperation.

You might as well be walking around with a sign around you neck saying "HELP ME, PLEASE".

Success in Network Marketing on-line or off-line requires that we treat people with respect. The first thing we will want to do is build rapport with them. By making this our number one priority they will come to know, like and trust us. People do business with those they know, like and trust, not with people who wear their agendas on their collars and start throwing up on them as soon as they open their mouth. There’s a famous quote that says “We have two ears and one mouth for a reason”

Relationship building is a process that can takes days, weeks, or even months and in some cases years. To quote Benjamin Franklin "He that can have patience, can have what he will" This is so true, it takes repeating “He that can have patience, can have what he will”. I have this quote pasted in may places around my home. This also reminds me of a great book I am studying "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson if you have not yet read it, I highly recommend you do. This book will change the way you do business and live your life.

By building relationships and first getting to know people through what Jeff Olson calls the “slight edge approach”, you’ll have plenty of valuable contacts for your business. Now you must know that not everyone will join your business opportunity, or use your products but they will become loyal friends, and will refer others to you making them great assets to your business.

Here are a few not to do’s in Online Networking:

- Do not sending private messages or emails about your business opportunity or products to another members. This is in poor taste and shows signs of desperation.

- When you introduce yourself in a networking group, it’s typically okay to say what you do, but don’t invite people to check out your website or say things like " I am looking to help make 5 people millionaires in 30 days".

- Quite a few message boards and networking groups allow you to post ads in certain places or on certain days. If your brand new to the group it would be wise if you got to know the group first before you started posting your ads, this way they’ll be more receptive to your offers.

It’s understandable that when your just starting out, it can be a bit stressful and you feel pressure to get results but the worst thing you can do is just start throwing up on people especial without their consent. The most important thing to remember is that results come from building long-term relationships and not from preying on online networking groups.

Don’t suck the life out of people who can connect you with potential prospects and customers before you even get started. Learn the skills you need to become a professional Network Marketer.

Live Your Dreams, Not Just Your Life!

Regardless of your business it’s safe to say that everyone is seeking to develop relationships so we can grow our business and make sales.

One of the main components of this process comes down to our opportunities, product or service’s Features and Benefits. When we are communicating to someone about our opportunity, product or service, we need to mention the features, while keeping focused on the benefits. A good way of doing this is by adding the phrase "which means" at the end of each feature.

For example a feature of a skin care product would be that it contains a unique blend of B vitamins. That in it self will not cause people to buy it. Lets say you worded it this way. "Our skin care products contain a unique blend of B vitamins which means, they will have you looking like your 17 years old again, but with better judgment. Most people would just hand you their check book after hearing that. Do you see the difference?

A feature is simply a characteristic of a product, service or opportunity.

A benefit explains what the potential business partner or customer will gain by joining or using your product or service.

Our potential customers or business partners typically are not interested in the features, at least not directly. When we think about the health and wellness industry, for example, telling people that we have a high quality great tasting liquid supplement is one thing, but the reason why they would be interested in such a supplement in the first place, would be because it will have them waking up an hour early in the morning feeling like a million bucks and falling asleep at night within seconds of their head hitting the pillow. That’s the benefit.

In whatever type of business you are running, do you make it a practice to sell the features of your product? Or do you sell the benefits? There is an enormous difference and ultimately, it decides wether your potential business partner or customer turns to you and either says "How do I sign up, or let me think it over and I’ll get back to you". Can you see how this one decision to can make or break your business?

Let me give you a few more examples:

No two people are alike in the Network Marketing industry

But there are a couple shared personality traits that are typical among those who have started and operate a Network Marketing business already.

One of the most known personalities inherent among Network Marketers is their entrepreneurial spirit. Let’s face it to get started in this business you have to want something out of life, but to stay committed to the end; you have to desire more out of life.

What are some of these traits that make up a Network Marketing entrepreneur?

Self-starter

Self-starters are the type of individuals who do not just wait around thinking about something time after time. Yet no action is taken to get things done. Self-starters are the type of people who decide on what needs to be done and simply get it done!

For example, let’s say, you are in need of your own brochure but income limits you from hiring a graphic designer to create your brochure. Being the self-starter you are you would go to work gathering all the information related to brochure design.

Then you would develop and design your brochure. In the end you would have a brochure that you have designed yourself.

Self-motivated

The self-motivated Network Marketer has a great deal of inner motivation and drive. Keep in mind though that each person is a unique being, and one person’s motivations may be different from those of another.

Let’s take for example, your motivation for starting your Network Marketing business. Is to earn and extra $500 or $1,000 per month? or $10,000 or $20,000 per month? Or is it that you want to stay at home with your kids, and that requires earning an income working from home?

Whatever the case, your level of motivation to a large degree will be dependent upon your purpose, and level of commitment. It will depend on how big your dream is.

Creativity

The creative individual is full of great ideas. They are usually able to come up with great ideas easily and effortlessly. And problem solving is something the creative individual excels at most. Many of their ideas are often the results of the active listening and observing skills they have developed.

Their focus is on finding solutions, rather than dwelling on the challenges.

For example, let’s say you have a limited advertising budget. You would go to work finding all the available free or inexpensive advertising methods instead of worrying over and over how limited your budget is.

Your creativity would have not only resulted in the expanding of your advertising campaign but would have gained you tons of knowledge from your research, which may in turn have even generated an additional source of income.

Self-disciplined

The self-disciplined individual is one who does not need someone hovering over them, or having someone tells them what, how to do it and when to do. The self-disciplined person does not need anyone telling them to get something done. They are able to determine what needs to be done, then they just get it done.

A Network Marketing business may fail, and many do in its early stages. But the difference between the self-disciplined individual and those who are not, is that the self-disciplined individual will not accept that they are a failure. They will simply learn from the mistakes mad and use them as a tool to attain success. While everyone else will say "well I tried".

As an entrepreneur in Network Marketing you should be able to adjust to any situation. You will find yourself wearing many different hats. Such as: marketer, promoter, public relations, motivator, sponsor, mentor, coach and so on. You cannot be afraid of change and must be open and flexible to them.

In closing, successful businesses are not built over night but over time. As a Network Marketing entrepreneur you must be willing to go the extra mile, learn the proper skills, develop the necessary traits and put forth the time and effort needed to build a successful high retention rate organization.

Live Your Dream, Not Just Your Life!

Most individuals continue to be saddled with out dated Network Marketing training and concepts of how the old multilevel companies were run in the 60’s and 70’s. Remember that we are already in the new millennium and the game has changed. And what worked then, does not work now.

Some of the more successful marketers have learned the secret Network Marketing training that has made them more profitable than others. So what is the one Network Marketing training secret they’ve learned that sets them apart from most?

The secret is, finding a proven training system with mentors and coaches who are dedicated to your success. Who truly have your interest at heart regardless if your if your making money for them or not.

There is however a lot more to consider when building your business like if your company can stand up to the five pillars test. Regardless, if you’re not properly trained, motivated and inspired during the early months of your Network Marketing career you will most likely meet failure and frustration.

Here’s something to think about. Every professional businessperson or athlete has a coach or mentor and a proven system to aid in their success. Why would it be any different in Network Marketing?

My good friend and mentor Tom "Big Al" Schreiter once told me "in order to be successful in this industry you must be a leader, in order be become a leader, be a mentor, and in order to become a mentor, you must first have a mentor."

Another of my good friends and mentors Michael Dlouhy once told me "systems duplicate, people don’t". How true that is.

Here are a few suggestions that will help you when seeking out the right system and mentors who will assist you in your Network Marketing training.

1. Make sure that the system and mentors have a proven track record.
2. Go with a group of mentors and coaches who has been training in Network Marketing for many years.
3. Find coaches and mentors who knows how to market.
4. Find coaches and mentors who continuously studies the industry.

If you have not notices when I speak of coaches and mentors it’s in the plural tense. There is power in numbers. Having more then one mentor and coach is powerful!

So,choose wisely because the right opportunity and company may be the vehicle to your success but an effective Network Marketing training system, coaches and mentors are the fuel in your tank.

To Your Success.

Whenever you are working a list of targeted MLM leads, it is recommended that you first find out what it is they want and weather or not they are a fit for your organization. To do this you must pre-quality them by asking the right questions. Find out what motivates them, what’s important to them, and WHY, a "home based business opportunity. Below is a list of questions that will help you get the answers your looking for.

1. What kind of work do you do?
2. How many hours a week do you work?
3. What do you LOVE about your job?
4. What do you HATE about your job?
5. What are you really good at?
6. What will happen if you don’t set up a strong, stable extra income?
7. What do you do with your free time?
8. What is the most fun thing you do in a normal day?
9. What would be your ideal way to make a living?
10. How do you see yourself being successful in a home business?
11. Is there any particular kind of opportunity that appeals to you most?
12. When you’re working, do you feel a need to be around people, or would you just as soon be by yourself?
13. If you had 2 months vacation and all the money you wanted, what would you do?
14. How do you like the people you work with?
15. What problem scares you to death that more money could solve?
16. If you had all the money you needed, what HUGE problem would go away?
17. When you find an opportunity that really meets your criteria, how many hours a week could you put into it?
18. If you had all the TIME in the world to do anything you wanted, what would you do?
19. Other than money, what are you looking for?
20. How does your family fit into your home business picture?
21. What do you want for your own personal growth?
22. What do you want to accomplish in your lifetime?
23. What could be lurking in the background that could prevent you from following through on starting your own business?
24. What would it mean to you to help others change their lives?
25. What really excites you in life? 26. What REALLY makes you angry about your life?
27. What really, really gets you emotional?

Of course you will never use all these questions when speaking to your leads. Depending on how the conversation goes, you may choose to select different questions from this list that speaks to your leads. The longer you talk to your leads, the better understanding you’ll have as to which questions you really want them to answer thus giving you a better understanding as to if if this is someone you would want to work with.
And the longer you talk to them, the better you’ll get at building relationships with them.

The reason for this they say is to have multiple sources of income.

Now think about this for a moment. Let’s just say for now that all those companies are 5 Pillar companies. (If you’re not sure what a 5 Pillar Company looks like, then you’ll want to down load my free eBook “Success in Ten Steps” to get all the juicy details.) Okay, we agree your working with 5 Pillar companies. That means that some type of auto-ship is in play. Let’s face it without an auto-ship you’re not building a business, you’re playing a shell game.

So the question is, why would anyone in their right mind take on multiple auto-ships? When you find out the answer, please do share.

Let me explain to you how in just 3 simple steps you can create multiple sources of income within one MLM opportunity. Granted that is, it’s a 5 Pillar organization.

Step 1. Enroll an active auto-ship business partner

Step 2. Plug them into a system that teaches skills (Systems duplicate, people don’t and skills rule MLM)

Step 3. Help your new partner to enroll their first active auto-shop business partner and plug them into the system.

“Wow, you’ve just created two source of income for yourself”

Step 4. Repeat steps 1-3 to create as many additional sources of income as your heart desires.

And there it is. What would you like to know next?

Whenever we select a vocation or perhaps a salaried position, we know precisely what our hourly earnings or our annual income will be before we begin. If we choose to start a business, then were going to have a forecasts and reasonable estimates of our potential earnings.

Why it is then, when we start a Network Marketing business, we don’t even think about asking those questions? That would be similar to starting a job and finding out months later what we are being paid!

When we start a Network Marketing business it is important to know exactly what it’s going to take to achieve our goals.

Mentoring For Free teaches us to ask the 10K question;

How many active distributors do I need in my business to generate a walk away residual income of $10000 per month?”

We like the question for several reasons.

1. It leaves out products. We don’t get into discussions like “My long distance is better than your legal plan! My lotion is better than your potion!”

2. The word ‘active’ avoids discussion of attrition rates and the commitment levels of your team.

3. The phrase ‘walk away’ makes us investigate our policies and procedures to make sure we can actually retire and pass our business on to our children’s children. It also ensures that if we do take a break or vacation, our business will still be there when we come back, and our team will continue to be well taken care of.

4. The word ‘residual’ makes us calculate how much money we will make from retail or wholesale sales, not just from recruiting.

5. The figure of $10000 makes us think big. It’s also fair to the company, as most or all of the commissions and bonuses will have kicked in by then.

If we started a job or bought a traditional business, we would know our salary or the income projections from the previous owner. When we start a home business, however, we rarely ask that question, and we should!

We worked for five years in a business and discovered too late that it was going to be almost impossible to reach our goals. We wished we had asked the 10K question before we started.

If you do not know the answer to that question in your present business, find out before you waste five years as we did.

If you are considering starting a business, ask the question. If your sponsor or up line or company rep support cannot answer you, RUN! As Michael Dlouhy says, “Run far and run fast!”

If you’d like some help to calculate the 10K answer for your company, we will be glad to work with you. We can also help you analyze your company’s policies and procedures to see if your business is protected for you and your family.

There is a huge difference between network marketing distributors and leaders and understanding that difference can mean the difference between success and failure in your network marketing business. My friend and mentor Tom Schreiter explains the difference in his “Big-Al’s-leaders-lessons” series. Here’s what Tom has to say about this topic.

Every network marketer wishes that he had a massive organization and more leaders in his group. Life would be wonderful. The bonus checks would be too heavy to carry. And, he could watch cable television 24 hours every day.

So why not take a shortcut to build your network marketing business? The fastest way to build a large organization is through the help of leaders.

We can’t build a very large network marketing organization on our own if we only sponsor distributors. Our time is limited. We can only service so many distributors and their problems. Even the best distributors need some service and help.

The way to multiply our efforts is to create leaders who can take care of their own groups. Duplicating ourselves by creating new leaders is the only way to build a large, massive organization.

Then where do we begin?

First, let’s define the difference between a network marketing leader and a distributor.

Distributors are temporary. They come and go in our business. Sometimes they work hard and build

groups, and other times they may continue as a wholesale user of the product, or even quit. And

it’s okay that distributors are temporary. They should have the right to come and take out of our business what they want.

For instance, here are some things distributors want from our business:

* The ability to save on their personal purchases.

* A chance to make retail sales and profits.

* A feeling of belonging to a positive group of people.

* A chance to develop personally.

* Some quick checks to pay off the VISA bill.

* A part-time income to put a child through college.

* Car payments.

* Enough money for that one dream vacation.

All these reasons to be a distributor are good. We should support and service our distributors to

reach these goals. However, the truth is that this support and service should only take 10 or 20% of our time. Why?

Because distributors don’t want or need a lot of support.

Some distributors say:

‘Oh, don’t keep calling me about those opportunity meetings. And I’m not interested in those training

meetings either. Call me when the president comes to town, or if the company introduces a new

product. Otherwise, leave me alone.’

That’s okay. We only want to help distributors get what they want out of our business. We don’t want

to push our agenda on them. They’ll appreciate that we respect them as adults and let them choose their own goals.

But remember, your distributors only have a temporary commitment. When the newspaper writes a

bad article about your company, your distributor might leave. Or when the home office forgets to

return the distributor’s phone call, again, the distributor might quit. Or maybe a little bit of

rejection from prospects will quickly end your distributor’s career.

Distributors come and go, but leaders are the real thing

Okay, we all know that leaders are more important than distributors. Most distributors are temporary

and have a temporary commitment toward your business – and that’s not bad. Like all of us,

they’re going to take what they want and then get on with their lives.

But leaders are going to stay with you and your business for a long time. So which would you rather have – one leader or 100 distributors?

That’s easy for us to answer. One leader

However, you might be thinking:

‘Yeah, having one leader is great, but maybe 100 distributors would give me some pretty good bonus checks.’

The problem is that we’ll have to replace those 100 distributors as time goes on, and instead of

building this residual income that we talk about, we end up with just a full-time job replacing distributors.

Why not spend the next day or two analyzing your organization? Determine how many leaders you have and how your business will be affected if you put more focus on building and training those leaders.

Now that you know understand the difference between network marketing distributors and leaders find the leaders and potential leaders in your organization and plug them into the right skills so they can learn to duplicate their efforts. And don’t forget support your distributors with whatever their needs have.

To receive Big-Al’s-leaders-lessons series and many more skills visit;
